Itinerary
Day 01 - Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, your guide from Tangaza Tours will meet you at the Hotel and set off for South Western Uganda. On the way, make a stop at Mpambire and see the skill of the makers the Royal Drums, make a brief stop at the Equator and stand in both hemispheres; a coffee break would be appropriate. Proceed to Mbarara for lunch then continue cheetahthrough the lush hills and the tea estates of Bunyaruguru to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enjoy the game drive as you enter the park before sunset. Dinner and over night at either Mweya Safari Lodge/ Jacana safari Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation)/ King Fisher Lodge Kichwamba/ Hippo Hill Camp (Medium class accommodation) or the Institute of Ecology Cottages (Low budget/basic accommodation), all Full Board.
Day 02 – Game drive/Kazinga Channel
After a cup of Coffee, you will go for the early morning game drive. Expect to see lions, elephants, and other various animals and birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax at the swimming pool. After lunch board the boat for the cruise along Kazinga Channel, a good experience for bird watchers, and for observing crocodiles, hippos and elephants. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and over night. F/B
Day 03 - Tree climbing lions
After breakfast, enjoy the Game drive as you leave Queen Elizabeth National park for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest via safaris in queen elizabeththe Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a game drive in Ishasha in search of the tree- climbing lions; watching the lion as they rest on top of the trees is an awe-inspiring sight! Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and over night. Heritage Lodge-Ha’Buharo Island. F/B
Day 04 - Lake Bunyonyi Tour
After an early breakfast enjoy one-hour boat ride to Nyombe Swamp; a trip that will yield gratifying results for the keen birdwatcher. Cruise around this serene and beautiful lake, the third deepest in the world, and explore life on its more than 20 islands, many of them with interesting legends.
Visit the Batwa (pygmies), the Bahesi (traditional blacksmiths), the caves, or let our tour guide lead you on an interesting and challenging hike up the steep hills surrounding this safari toursscenic lake. Spend the evening by a campfire; watch traditional dancers as you dine. Dinner and over night at Heritage Lodge-Ha’Buharo Island.
Day 05 - Bakiga Museum and depart
After breakfast, you will be driven to kabale town and visit the Bakiga Museum, and thereafter depart to Kampala.
